Today: ”Abundance is achieved when great power serves all.” – a reading from the I Ching

Abundance is achieved when great power serves all.  Egotistical pursuits falter and will recede into oblivion.  Power with generosity spreads like wildfire.

#55, line 6, #30
#55: It is not given to every mortal to bring about a time of outstanding greatness and abundance. Only a born ruler of men is able to do it, because his will is directed to what is great. Such a time of abundance is usually brief. Therefore a sage might well feel sad in view of the decline that must follow. But such sadness does not befit him. Only a man who is inwardly free of sorrow and care can lead in a time of abundance. He must be like the sun at midday, illuminating and gladdening everything under heaven.
Line 6: This describes a man who because of his arrogance and obstinacy attains the opposite of what he strives for. He seeks abundance and splendor for his dwelling. He wishes at all odds to be master in his house, which so alienates his family that in the end he finds himself completely isolated.
#30 Fire sparks more Flames: The Superior Person holds an inner Fire that ignites passion in every heart it touches, until all the world is enlightened and aflame.  With so searing a flame, success will not be denied you.  Take care to be as peaceful and nurturing as the cow in the meadow; you are strong enough to be gentle.
A Promethean flame is delivering light and heat to the situation at hand.
This radiance will cause such an alchemical transformation of circumstances that the changes will seem magical, miraculous.  Yet they are only shifts of perspective and attitude that bring clarity.  The passions kindled by this fire must be harnessed and used judiciously, or they threaten to consume your hopes and dreams.

Today: “This constant exchange between separation and union are the two basic acts that run the universe.” – Yogi Bhajan

“This constant exchange between separation and union are the two basic acts that run the universe. What do we get out of it? We get bhaag—joy and good fortune. We get out of it what is us, within us. And if we master the mind, elevate ourselves, and entwine the mind in blessing and gratitude, then we get the bliss and meet the Infinite within us.” Yogi Bhajan
