Recap: Healing and Meditation Class at Yoga West with Hari Nam Singh 2019-01-02-The Meridians

The meridians

We held a workshop at Yoga West on January 2, 2019.  We discussed reading  the tendencies of the healing (or teaching) relation.

We performed a meditation to engage the self in one’s external reality.  This meditation improves our circulatory life, where we are able to engage our environment and other people in it in a very relaxed way, rather than checking out, separating the self and living in denial.

Meditation: KWTC 19970630 – For Faculty of Self Engagement

Then, to merge with the patient (healing) or class (teaching) in order to read what wants to be addressed.

Meditation: Know the Psyche of the Other

We performed exercises in recognizing the healing partner in the merged space, identifying the tendencies in the merged relation, then healing them.

Today: – ”Be responsive to the responsibility given to you by your awareness. ” – a reading from the I Ching

Be responsive to the responsibility given to you by your awareness.  It is a seriously challenging time.  If you see what others cannot, you must take up the burden alone to lead with devotion and the certainty that you will come through this.  You cannot depend on anyone else to do this.  It is a harsh reality.  If you act without reacting you actions won’t make anything worse. The secret to eventual success in this case is in allowing reality to take its course.

#2, line 5, #12
Earth above and Earth below:
The Earth contains and sustains.
In this situation, the Superior Person should not take the initiative; he should follow the initiative of another.
He should seek receptive allies in the southwest; he should break ties with immovable allies in the northeast.
Responsive devotion.
Receptive influence.
Sublime Success if you keep to your course.
This is a time for dealing with reality as it is, not as you would have it be.
If you realize that in this situation you are the receptor, not the transmitter of the stimulus, you will find yourself reaching goals that seemed unattainable under your own steam.
If you persist in futile efforts to be the Shaper rather than the Shaped, you will completely miss this unique opportunity.
A yellow robe.  Supreme good fortune.
Heaven and Earth move away from each other.
In the ensuing void, the small invade where the great have departed.
There is no common meeting ground, so the Superior Person must fall back on his inner worth and decline the rewards offered by the inferior invaders.
Difficult trials as you hold to your course.
It is natural to assume that, if Earth above Heaven forms the hexagram for Peace and Paradise, then the opposite configuration, with Heaven over Earth would represent the antithesis of Paradise, Hell.
Not so.
This hexagram is actually the Dark side of Peace, its unsavory byproduct, Stagnation.  In a time when most of our wants are provided, there is little need for the heroes, the artists, the great thinkers and innovators.
As they recede into the shadows, Idleness, Apathy, and Lassitude come to the forefront.  Peace has become boring, bland, unchallenging — Stagnant.
Now our attention turns to the quick fix, the instant celebrity, the fad, the one-nighter, the current buzz.  There is no room for depth.
If you are a passionate soul, you must wait for a better time to find kindred spirits.  In these times, they are only curious legends, bas-relief, dead poets.

Meditation: LA907 – Kriya for Non-Reaction

Today: I Ching – Previous Readings

Today: “In kundalini yoga we don’t worry about the effect, we worry about the cause, because cause has the effect.” – Yogi Bhajan

“In kundalini yoga we don’t worry about the effect, we worry about the cause, because cause has the effect. Effect can never happen without cause; consequences shall never happen without sequence. If a person can be aware enough to know the trend of the sequences, he can control the consequences.” Yogi Bhajan
