“Stay strong and constant, yet flexible.  Don’t push it.  These extraordinary times will return to normalcy.” – a reading from the I Ching

Stay strong and constant, yet flexible.  Don’t push it.  These extraordinary times will return to normalcy, with new awareness.

Endurance is the key to success in this situation.
However, durability is not synonymous with stone-like rigidity.
True resilience requires a flexibility that allows adaptation to any adverse condition, while still remaining true to the core.
If a man remains at the mercy of moods of hope or fear aroused by the outer world, he loses his inner consistency of character. Such inconsistency invariably leads to distressing experiences. These humiliations often come from an unforeseen quarter. Such experiences are not merely effects produced by the external world, but logical consequences evoked by his own nature.
This refers to a time in which tensions and complications begin to be eased. At such times we ought to make our way back to ordinary conditions as soon as possible; this is the meaning of “the south-west.” These periods of sudden change have great importance. Just as rain relieves atmospheric tension, making all the buds burst open, so a time of deliverance from burdensome pressure has a liberating and stimulating effect on life. One thing is important, however: in such times we must not overdo our triumph. The point is not to push on farther than is necessary. Returning to the regular order of life as soon as deliverance is achieved brings good fortune. If there are any residual matters that ought to be attended to, it should be done as quickly as possible, so that a clean sweep is made and no retardations occur.

Thunder and rain set in:
The image of DELIVERANCE.
Thus the superior man pardons mistakes
And forgives misdeeds.

A thunderstorm has the effect of clearing the air; the superior man produces a similar effect when dealing with mistakes and sins of men that induce a condition of tension. Through clarity he brings deliverance. However, when failings come to light, he does not dwell on them; he simply passes over mistakes, the unintentional transgressions, just as thunder dies away. He forgives misdeeds, the intentional transgressions, just as water washes everything clean.

Today: “When the ego merges with the soul, then a person is enlightened. The moment the ego dies, it is death; we call it Maha Samadhi.” Yogi Bhajan

“When the ego merges with the soul, then a person is enlightened. The moment the ego dies, it is death; we call it Maha Samadhi. You know the dos and don’ts; physical exercises, asanas; pranayama exercises; then concentration, contemplation, meditation, and then absorption, samadhi. Maha Samadhi, great absorption, means death. In India we don’t write that anybody has died, we say he has gone into Maha Samadhi.” Yogi Bhajan

Yogi Bhajan Los Angeles January 17, 1978

Sit in easy pose with a straight spine.  Interlock the fingers of the hands together with the palms facing down. Firmly press the thumbs together and
force them as far under the palms as possible. Hold the hand position in front of the body at the level of the throat.

Extend both arms straight out in front of the body parallel to the ground. Bend at the elbows and draw the forearms in toward the body until the hands meet at the throat level.

Sit with the legs in easy pose or in a chair with the weight of both feet equally distributed on the ground.

Breathe only when necessary and in quick breaths in order to maintain the continuous rhythm of the mantra.

The eyes are 1/10 open

Chant the following mantra in a monotone voice:

GOBINDAY – MUKANDAY – UDARAY – APARAY – HARIANG – KARIANG

NIRNAMAY – AKAMAY

Be sure to keep the vocal pitch at a constant level throughout the meditation.  Chant in a continuous, unbroken rhythm.

Keep the thumbs firmly pressed together and locked under the palms, You may experience some pain but don’t give an inch.  Focus on the breath and on the mantra.

Practice this meditation for a minimum of 30 minutes per day for 90 days

This meditation can wipe out every weakness in your destiny and your surroundings and your connections.
