Today: Lying low attracts success

yinyang02glowSmall things may be done, big things should not be done.  Lying low with modesty will bring surprisingly good fortune.  If you seek help from competent sources with proven records rather than high profile personalities then you will succeed. “You depend on the mind, but you cannot rely on it…

SSSYWa“You depend on the mind, but you cannot rely on it. It takes a thought and magnifies it, twists it left and right, and creates many short cuts, illusions, dreams, and temptations. It creates a mirage, and asks you to walk on it! Continue reading ““You depend on the mind, but you cannot rely on it…”

“Perhaps you do not understand one fundamental fact…

SSSYWa“Perhaps you do not understand one fundamental fact: you, as a living consciousness, are subject to time and space. It takes time to do something, and it requires space to do it in. But the mind by nature is faster than time and space. This is a split.” Yogi Bhajan

Today: Attraction, influence and contagious enthusiasm

Listen to the primal rhythm of the tides deep in the unconscious.  Recognizing the attraction between affinities is a general law of nature. Heaven and earth attract each other and thus all creatures come into being.  From the attractions they exert we can learn the nature of all beings in heaven and on earth. Meditate and know these things without doubt as they appear first in sensations in the back of the neck.

“If you do not find that ground where you and your mind can meet…

SSSYWa“If  you do not find that ground where you and your mind can meet, you become nothing but a suffering man.” Yogi Bhajanworriedmonk

Today: Peace and blessings

Heaven and Earth embrace, giving birth to Peace. Peace brings the promise of prosperity, although it is very fragile.  When things turn, do not chase the balance that once was. Just bless, bless, bless.  When you bless, you are blessed.

I Ching: Today

“If you do not depend directly on your consciousness…

SSSYWa“If you do not depend directly on your consciousness, you are not you at all. When you are not you in the beginning and core of each action, then there is nothing you can do which will be true, and there is nothing you can do which can make you happy.” Yogi Bhajan

George Washington’s Prayer for the United States

GEORGE WASHINGTON’S PRAYER FOR THE UNITED STATES

Almighty God: We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy holy protection; that Thou wilt incline the hearts of the citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to government: and entertain a brotherly affection and love for one another and for theirfellow citizens of the United States at large.

And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion, and without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to be a happy nation.

Grant our supplication, we beseech Thee, throughJesus Christ our Lord.

Amen

Today: I Ching – Daily Readings

Today: I Ching is a series of postings based on readings from the ancient Chinese text, the I Ching.  Individual postings in the series are narratives that I compose based on my readings and intuitive interpretations of the I Ching.
See Using the I Ching

The readings contained in Today: I Ching posts are intended to reflect the tendencies described by the I Ching in answer to the question: “What is going on today?” The results are intended to have relevance to the reader of the post in some way.  It also can include relevance to what is going on in the world at large.

Every normal person thinks, imagines and projects…

SSSYWa“Every normal person thinks, imagines, and projects through the mind. You ultimately identify with your mind and become dependent on the mind. The reality is that you should not depend on your mind. Instead, you should project from the point of view of your consciousness.” Yogi Bhajan

Today: Contemplate, be the watchtower

The gentle Wind roams the Earth:  Expand your sphere of influence as you expand your awareness.  Direct your your devotion and intentions to the pursuit of clarity and wisdom.  Be aware of the inspiring, positive example you are setting for others to emulate.  Be the watchtower, the lighthouse for all to see. You are nothing but a potential living consciousness…

SSSYWa“You are nothing but a potential living consciousness. Your basic necessity, the drive of your elemental self is to become practical, grassroots, living consciousness  – potential living consciousness to practical living consciousness.” Yogi Bhajan
