Today: “Standing apart is futile.  Coming together reveals and satisfies what we seek.” from the I Ching

Standing apart is futile.  Coming together reveals and satisfies what we seek.

See Tao Te Ching – Verse 72 – When they lose their sense of awe, people turn to religion. When they no longer trust themselves, they begin to depend upon authority.

See the previous  reading: Today: “The simple connections between family, friends and neighbors will prevail in this time of danger.  Ceremonial forms are overshadowed by simple prudence arising from necessity.” from the I Ching

53 – Fifty-Three.  Chien / Gradual Progress

The gnarled Pine grows tenaciously off the Cliff face:
The Superior Person clings faithfully to dignity and integrity, thus elevating the Collective Spirit of Man in his own small way.
Development.
The maiden is given in marriage.
Good fortune if you stay on course.

SITUATION ANALYSIS:

Adaptability mixed with integrity will bring a calm, steady progress.
Move from your center, always faithful to your principles, yet with the flexibility to weather any tempest.
Yours is not a meteoric rise to the top, but the solid, confident footing of one who has a clear vision of what can be, and who is willing to climb the distance to reach it.
The oracle foresees companionship along the way — a Divine comfort on any journey.

Nine at the top means:

The wild geese fly to a home above the clouds.
They no longer need their feathers, and leave them behind for the sacred dance.
Peace everlasting.

The wild goose gradually draws near the cloud heights.
Its feathers can be used for the sacred dance.
Good fortune.

Snow-geese with crescent moon

Snow-geese with crescent moon

Here life comes to its end. A man’s work stands completed. The path rises high toward heaven, like the flight of wild geese when they have left the earth far behind. There they fly, keeping to the order of their flight in strict formation. And if their feathers fall, they can serve as ornaments in the sacred dance pantomimes performed in the temples. Thus the life of a man who has perfected himself is a bright light for the people of the earth, who look up to him as an example.

8 – Eight.  Pi / Bonding

Deep Waters on the face of the Earth:
Surface waters flow together.
The Superior Person recognizes the situation calls for joining together.
Thus he cultivates friendly relations with all.

Good fortune is possible.
Cast the coins again to discover if you have the qualities needed to lead such a group.
Then there will be no error.
Those uncertain will gradually join.
Those who join too late will meet with misfortune.

SITUATION ANALYSIS:

This is a time of connection with another or others — not just an alliance, but a melding of parts into a new whole.
Such a connection may be too close, too intense for some.
Consult the oracle again to see if you have the qualities needed to strengthen and withstand such an intense synthesis.

Today: A stage will come when you can hear the unheard, see the unseen, know the unknown. ” Yogi Bhajan

“A stage will come when you can hear the unheard, see the unseen, know the unknown. What change there will be in your personality and in your life, in your behavior and in your existence on this planet, and in the contentment and joy and happiness you can experience; words cannot explain because that will be your experience. Candy is sweet. How sweet? I can’t say. The one who has eaten candy knows how sweet candy is. Just as you can’t express the sweetness of candy—you can only say that it is sweet—you cannot express the joy of your living existence when you are generating energy by your own power.” Yogi Bhajan

Tao Te Ching – Verse 72

When they lose their sense of awe,
people turn to religion.
When they no longer trust themselves,
they begin to depend upon authority.

Therefore the Master steps back
so that people won’t be confused.
He teaches without a teaching,
so that people will have nothing to learn.
