Tao Te Ching – Verse 20 – Stop thinking, and end your problems.
Tao Te Ching – Verse 20
Stop thinking, and end your problems.
What difference between yes and no?
What difference between success and failure?
Must you value what others value,
avoid what others avoid?
How ridiculous!

Tao Te Ching – Verse 19 – Throw away holiness and wisdom, and people will be a hundred times happier.
Tao Te Ching – Verse 19
Throw away holiness and wisdom,
and people will be a hundred times happier.
Throw away morality and justice,
and people will do the right thing.
Throw away industry and profit,
and there won’t be any thieves.
If these three aren’t enough,
just stay at the center of the circle
and let all things take their course. Continue reading “Tao Te Ching – Verse 19 – Throw away holiness and wisdom, and people will be a hundred times happier.”

Today: “The mind is not subject to time and place” – Yogi Bhajan
“The mind is not subject to time and place. The mind cannot be subject to time and place, but there is a relationship of mind and body. If you have the technical know-how and you use that technique, mind and body can become one. The moment you can bring mind and body into one, then there is only one alternative left. When mind and body become one, then universality and creativity of the self can be recognized. This is very important.” Yogi Bhajan
Tao Te Ching – Verse 18 – When the great Tao is forgotten, goodness and piety appear.
Tao Te Ching – Verse 18
When the great Tao is forgotten,
goodness and piety appear.
When the body’s intelligence declines,
cleverness and knowledge step forth.
When there is no peace in the family,
filial piety begins.
When the country falls into chaos,
patriotism is born.
(translation by Stephen Mitchell, 1995)

The great Tao fades away
There is benevolence and justice
Intelligence comes forth
There is great deception
The six relations are not harmonious
There is filial piety and kind affection
The country is in confused chaos
There are loyal ministers
(translation by Derek Lin, 2006)
-+-+-+-
There is no Code of Ethics,
And there never was.
There is no kindness; no morality.
There is no genius.
Loyal sons and dutiful workers
Are unreal.
Stop.
(translation by Jeremy M. Miller, 2013)

returns to the common source.
Returning to the source is serenity.

Today: “The cabal of corruption is growing dissent, distrust and resentment from within.” from the I Ching
The cabal of corruption is growing dissent, distrust and resentment within its ranks.
The purpose for its very existence is growing dim. The members of what was once a fellowship with a common purpose, the poison that nourishes its existence, i.e., greed, have realized that each cannot have it all. It’s becoming every man for himself. Greed has no limits, cooperative alliances do.
The same poisons that separated this group from the civilized world is tearing itself apart. Its members are leaving to plant new roots for future grift. What may this bring?
Peace.
…until the next time.
